Shoot Info

How we shoot

Two ways to get on the line: cash-purse money shoots and casual Thursday open shoot / practice nights. Pick what fits and come ready to break clays.

Money shoot

A money shoot (sometimes called an “Annie”) is a cash-purse trap game. Everyone puts in an entry, targets fly, and the purse pays out to the shooters still standing — or to the top scores, depending on the format that day. It’s informal, social, and meant to be fun — not a stiff registered tournament.

What to expect

  • Starts at 10:00 AM
  • 10 rounds
  • Sign up on-site when you arrive; formats are announced that day.
  • Common games include Annie Oakley–style “miss and you’re out” rounds and straight score shoots for the purse.
  • Events may run a half-day or stretch across a weekend — check Events for dates.
  • New shooters are welcome; ask anyone on the line how the game works.

What to bring

  • Shotgun and plenty of your own shells (not sold on site)
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Cash for rounds
  • Weather gear — we shoot outdoors at the rodeo grounds

Open shoot / practice

Open shoot / practice is our informal Thursday drop-in night. No tournament format, no purse — just show up, shoot as many rounds as you want, and pay per round. We run two traps so the line keeps moving.

  • More Thursday nights TBA — check the calendar
